Finding fitting clothes

Having proportionate body is horrid when you need to purchase new sets of clothes. Having shoulders the size ‘S’ and waist the size ‘M’. If you try to fit into ‘S’, it makes you look fat exposing your love handles that only your husband might find it beautiful. Fitting into ‘M’ makes you look sloppy, as the shoulders look loose.

Where do you find clothes that actually fit you? Well, last December during Malaysia’s Year End Sale, I stepped into Isetan hoping to find something that fits and cheap. Hey it’s sale, everything was 50% and 70%.

Amazing I found shirts and blouses that fits perfectly on shoulders and waistline, and it is the size ‘S’, I was jumping in joy in the fitting room. So happy that I could finally fit into the size I original couldn’t fit around my waistline.

Happy, I bought 3 shirts and a pleated skirt for work. All which cost me RM200++, I made full use of the 50% - 70% discount, and I even got a 2G thumb drive as part of their promotion. I’ll be visiting Isetan again during the next sale!!

Dark Circles

I have always had dark circles and wrinkles around my eyes; it is sort of a hereditary. Trying to cover them wasn’t easy, I have tried many different kinds of skin care some worked and some didn’t. Those, which worked, were costly and can rarely be found in Malaysia.

Being dark skinned, you can never get the right make up coverage that you should. You’ll be probably end up with the wrong tone. It could be the darkest in the range but still lighter on you. Though you try to ignore that fact, but it shows clearly between your face and neck.

After trying several drug store brands, I settled for Bobbi Brown, they carry colours for all skin tones. No matter how dark or fair you are, you get what you want.

Having to switch from L’Oreal to Bobbi Brown was a smart move for me. All Bobbi Brown’s foundations, concealers and pressed powders are yellow based, therefore they work very well with the skin tone and makes your skin look very natural. You’ll have the slightest feeling that you are actually wearing make up.

It’s just not a comestic brand but ‘THE’ Cosmetic Brand.

Bobbi’s concealer comes in 2 different category, you have to ‘Corrector’ is specially designed for very dark circles and extra coverage and it has to be followed by the ‘Creamy Concealer’ it’s yellow-based to give the natural balance which matches your skin tone. The concealer kit comes with ‘Sheer Loose Powder’ dash a little around the eyes to give that extra hold to the concealer. It’s just like applying pressed powder over your foundation for that extra hold.

Bobbi’s range of foundation is simply the best. They have several ranges for different skin types. I use ‘Moisture Rich Foundation SPF 15’, it blends and absorbs into your skin so well that you needn’t apply to your whole face. Just apply only to even tones and cover imperfections. A thin layer will do.

Lastly, just brush over with the Bobbi’s pressed powder and you have a fresh sheer look. So natural, simple and beautiful.

Dark circles, wrinkles around the eye, dark spots and uneven skin tone are all gone. You’ll feel beautiful and confident when you walk out of the house.

You woke up this morning and realized that your alarm didn’t ring coz you forgot to set it! You only have 30 minutes to get dressed and you normally need 1 hour. What do you do?

Take a quick shower, get dressed, grab your phone and handbag and leave. No wait! You can’t leave without your make up!! You have 15 minutes you can put on full make up.

Blend a little foundation, brush on your pressed powder, draw your liner, mascara your lashes and put on a lip-gloss. You are done!! Simple, sweet and natural look.

That’s all you need!
